Scenario
An agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single rabbi fall in love; find out if their relationship will survive their wildly different lives and interfering families. Originally titled Shiksa, which is also the last word spoken in the first episode. I really like this series, it takes me back to my single and dating days and puts a smile on my face. It touches on very relatable and relevant topics (about dating and dating culture) in such a matter-of-fact way, and it’s done in a fresh and unfussy way, the way dating should be, honest dialogue, no games. Their chemistry is super cute (helped by the fact that they’re both seasoned, skilled actors, of course) and it’s a great watch that brings back all those nostalgic feelings. Kristen Bell, I’ve been following since I watched Veronica Mars as a young girl. And Adam Brody, my husband looked at the TV and said, he hasn’t changed since The O.C., he’s right.
