Hugh Jackman said that he really had enough of the role of Wolverine after Logan (2017)
Scenario
Deadpool is offered a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the Time Variance Authority, but instead he recruits a variant of Wolverine to save his universe from extinction. The Deadpool and Wolverine team share how they dealt with raunchy jokes, and Emma Corrin shares what it was like working with fellow affable megastars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. He then said that he regretted that statement after seeing the first Deadpool film, and expressed to Ryan his interest in seeing the two characters face off on the big screen. When asked why he decided to return for this film, he simply said, “I just wanted to do it, and I had a gut feeling,” adding that he wanted to have the best possible time ever on a film set alongside Ryan Reynolds.

Likewise, Reynolds has wanted to work with Jackman since the first Deadpool film and was sad when he (Jackman) left the role.. As Wolverine and Deadpool make their odyssey in the Honda Odyssey, the car’s clock jumps forward three hours during their conversation.. Elliot Chipman: That’s Deadpool.Kevin Chipman: That’s Wolverine.Deadpool: That’s damn right. Disney brought him back.

The guy really has to gauge the mood
You don’t go to see Deadpool for a great, deep story that makes you think. You go to see Deadpool for fun, for obscene fight scenes, good jokes, bad jokes… ridiculous deaths, sarcasm, disgusting non-politically correct commentary, and most importantly, the most incredible music to tie it all together. And Deadpool and Wolverine have that in every way.
