I loved this movie, it made me immediately immerse myself in it as a whole experience, because the unusual form of a documentary film (partly autobiographical and biographical)
Scenario
In the Norwegian wilderness, a family seeks a wild free existence, but a tragic turn of events shatters their isolation, forcing them to adapt to the demands of modern society..
The freedom from the dogmatic styles of documentary is itself a reflection of the free personalities in this story
The main character (narrator) undoubtedly has a very artistic sense and integrity, so strong that it is possible for the instructor to extrapolate the integrity and details of this film from the source that was already there.
The Norwegian and British’s mutual understated sense of humor goes beautifully and convincingly well in this existential question of life choices and values
The way this film manages to be light and dark, life-affirming and sad, humble and humbling, personal and yet so universal is true art.
My highest recommendations
It is a fantastic portrait of childhood and human personal growth that continues to unfold, how we learn and how we belong.
